Episode 137: Aliens, Where Are They Now

Sometimes we wonder about life beyond our Earth. Sometimes we consider what kind of organisms may exist outside of our understanding. Sometimes, or rarely, we entertain an idea where perhaps aliens have been here all along… This episode we talk about aliens from space and where they may be hiding. And WHY did they NOT return MY CALLS?

I used this list to talk about moons and planets in our solar system that has a decent chance of having some sort of life on it for one reason or other.

This is a list of exoplanets that have high potential to host some sort of life. I used it to talk about some of them.

This link is just for fun so you can read about some really cool exoplanets that exist out there in the universe.

We also briefly talked about the idea that was floated by a group of scientists that cephalopods were seeded here from meteorites and therefore are aliens. So let me drop that link. The first link is just an article talking about the paper with some quotes from it.

This second link is the actual paper published in Progress in Biophysics and Molecular Biology. The paper is titled “Cause of Cambrian Explosion – Terrestrial or Cosmic?” and looked at the origin of life on Earth. It posits that life began thanks to a rain of retroviruses, which literally fell from space. Those retroviruses then added new DNA sequences to terrestrial genomes, which the paper says further drove mutagenic change. It’s a really interesting read.

We also talked extremely briefly about the panspermia theory. So here’s a link about that.
