We once again have a question that will guide everyone on the true path of being haters! Oh, Teddy Roosevelt, the guy who teddy bears are named for, the one who instituted state parks… also was a completely horrible person! Woah! Roll up your sleeves because we get into it this week with some eugenics and genocide. Sounds like someone else we know, eh?
This is a long article about Roosevelt’s thoughts on other races around the world, his opinions about colonialism, and his involvement in various wars. There are many quotes in here that are rough that came directly from Roosevelt.
This article looks at the horrendous, frankly genocidal attitudes Roosevelt had toward the Native Americans. There are horrible quotes in here that came directly from him, and there are descriptions of the Sand Creek Massacre from eye witnesses, so prepare for that.
