Let’s just start with this image of the Embassy Suites from the Trip Advisor as uploaded from the Hilton Charleston Historic District. This gives you a nice image of the hotel from back when it was a military academy.

And here’s the modern image to compare with the one above, also uploaded by hotel management. Click the picture to go to Trip Advisor and read all the reviews M treated us with on the episode (and the pictures to go with them, like moldy cement tub!).
Over here on African American Charleston you can find information about the historic nature of the Embassy Suites – what used to be The Citadel – and a timeline of the city of Charleston with pictures and such as well.
This website is the South Carolina Picture Project, and it’ll take you to a page with several cool pictures juxtaposing the older citadel with the newer looked of the Embassy Suites. I love these old pictures and the history of buildings like this, especially when they have the spooky stories too.
Now, M read verbatim some experiences of people who had stayed the night in one of the haunted rooms. So let’s start with this write up from Only in Your State about exactly how this hotel is haunted.
Now let’s get into the personal stories. M mentioned this one from Reddit, so let’s read this one from Reddit. If you want to go here and read the actual person’s account, you can, and then you can read all the speculation in the comment section.
This is a blog post that M also read. If you open it up, you can get the pictures and such that goes with it.
This is a paranormal investigation that was conducted at the hotel. They were really diligent in trying to record everything they found there. Read it for yourself and click on the various links.
And here’s a link directly to the EVPs from that investigation. M really likes “Christ.”
